Black-browed Albatross, Peter Hobbs's Account Of This Superb Record!

I still can't take this in at all! It has to be the most fascinating find I can possibly imagine. On a north westerly gale off the Norfolk or Suffolk Coast, yes, but dropping in to land on a pool at Minsmere RSPB in July is just unreal. Massive congratulations again to the finder and photographer.

  1. It is probably a Southern Atlantic rep for Birdlife International....
and therefore knows where to land!!

Actually, I feel very sorry for this magnificent bird...
pulled up here, across the Equator, by bad weather or hitching a lift on the 'wrong' boat...
all its normal navigational instincts will have been confused...
will it ever find its way back South...
or is it destined spend its life drifting around up here...
setting new records for different countries?

    Tim
