I stumbled on your blog at Wildlife Photography Blogs. Let me fill you in on our experience with a waste incinerator. When the Skagit County landfill was at capacity, they decided to build a million dollar incinerator facility. Air pollution wasn't the problem. The cost of natural gas made it too expensive to operate. Also, it was such a complex piece of equipment, the county lacked the expertise to run and maintain it properly. They finally just shut it down and the site is now used only as a transfer facility for hauling trash away. It was a huge waste of money and a lesson learned the hard way.
